THE HOME OF STREET ART

Since 2014, our focus has been on urban street art, particularly the creations of the Father of street art, Richard Hambleton. He has been a pivotal figure in the history of street art, inspiring movements and leaving an indelible mark.

In alignment with Hambleton’s mission to make art accessible to the public, we proudly serve as official advisors and distributors for Richard Hambleton works in the UK.

These urban street artists, born just one year apart in different corners of the world, initially employed the streets as their canvas, portraying humanity as their subject.

Through his art, Richard Hambleton provides a commentary on the contemporary life, captivating and startling passersby on the streets of New York.

Though his public art may have weathered the passage of time, being either painted over by subsequent street artists or translated onto canvas and other mediums, Hambleton’s work continues to be showcased in galleries and exhibitions worldwide.

Situated in the heart of Mayfair, our gallery is immersed in street art history and welcomes those interested to explore more about these remarkable street artists by appointment.

The Godfather of Street Art

Richard Hambleton

Richard Hambleton was a profoundly captivating artist, and we take pride in serving as advisors and distributors to his foundation.

The rollercoaster journey of his life has been chronicled in the film “Shadowman,” offering compulsive viewing for anyone captivated by the work of this man and the narrative behind it.

Transforming into an enigma, Hambleton withdrew from public view for a period, weaving a story that is both poignant and brimming with inspiration and talent.

The legendary Shadowmen, which came to symbolize 1980s New York, along with the Mass Murder Series and the distinctive silhouettes and figures, may have faded from the walls and doorways of Canada and America, but his legacy endures.
